It’s summertime again, and you know what that means – it’s time to break out the shorts. Or, if you’re me, you break out the cropped capris, because I don’t wear shorts unless I’m exercising. But that’s just me.
Anyway, when it’s time for the cropped pants, it’s time to break out the razor. Not that I haven’t been shaving my legs all winter, but, well, you know – now I have to do it with more regularity.
I’m using a new brand of razor this year, and so far I really like it:
The Venus disposable razor. I love the extra blades, which give me a close shave. I love the way the handle is curved, so it fits nicely against my palm and I don’t have to worry about dropping it while I’m in the shower. All in all, a nicely designed razor.
Except for one thing – the pack I got has scented handles. Why, oh why, does a disposable razor need to be scented? Does this make any sense at all? If I’m using a razor, I’m using soap or shave cream, and those are scented as well, and much more strongly. This is one aspect of the razor that makes no sense.
But besides that – I like them. And I like summer weather after a long winter. Totally worth the extra few minutes I need to take to shave more often.
